Morning ladies,
Just looking for some advice. Not been feeling great recently, wondering if I am absorbing new oestrogel as it seems weaker. Just got bloods back and estrogen is 400 usually been around 300. I'm 66 post meno. Is this too high ??
Thanks

That is strange because for me it's the other way around! How many pumps are you using and what type of symptoms are you having now?
I always thought 300 was a good number to aim for post menopause and it's enough for bone protection but my migraines resurfaced so I have had to go back to two pumps of Oestrogel.
400 is definitely not too high but if you don't feel well, can you revert back to the original gel?

Hi
Currently on 3 pumps. Not sure why I feel off. Increase in panic/anxiety the problem. I ways was around 300 so may be I will go back to 2 and hopefully it will settle. At least I know I am absorbing the gel, even thought it feel more watery
Thank you 😊

It can be hard to get an accurate blood estradiol level on gel as there is a sharp spike after applying which quickly drops off, so depending on the time of day you take the test the result can vary widely.
I am on oral estradiol (Zoely) and my level is consistently around 400pmol/L although a small amount of this will be my own as I am 45.
This is the level I plan to maintain for the rest of my life as it is where I feel well.
300pmol/L is the absolute minimum I would personally accept for bone health based on Professor Studd's work.

No, that isn't too high. In fact, most women do best between 450-650pmol according to a lot of the research.
My own estradiol is between 650 and 880pmol and I need it there, for my symptoms.
So no, that is not a high E level. It will only help protect your bones better!
