Title: Perimenopause fatigue and crying!
Post by: Lucy 444 on February 04, 2025, 06:13:23 PM
Hi, just looking for a bit of support and reassurance that what I’m feeling is perimenopause. I’ve had anxiety and depression on and off for years and it’s returned recently. The dr upped my citalopram which made me really bad so I reduced it back down. Last week I saw an amazing lady dr who said my symptoms are perimenopause. She has increased my HRT and I guess I just have to be patient but boy it’s tough. Today I’ve had such bad fatigue I could hardly function and I’ve cried so much. Anyone else felt like this? I’ve never yawned so much and just feel totally overwhelmed and exhausted. I’ve got blood tests in two weeks. I live on my own and I’m signed off work and just looking for someone to say this is normal and it will get better! Any reassurance gratefully received! Xx

Yep. Yep.  Yep

:welcomemm:  I remember Mum having crashing fatigue, she would stop cooking our evening meal, sit down and sleep for hours.

Which HRT regime have U been prescribed and when?  How old R U and what were your periods doing?  Which symptom would you like to ease first?

Hopefully your GP will do: thyroid function, VitD levels ....... we shouldn't blame everything on2 menopause.

Some find that keeping a mood/symptom/food diary of use ..... to chart progress.
