Title: High ALP (alkaline phosphotase)scared
Post by: AnxiousSoul on February 02, 2025, 11:06:24 PM
Got blood tests done and they came back ‘normal’ except for serum alkaline which was 134 (30-130 is reference range). I’d been 112 six months previous.
Everything I look at online is bad in relation to this being high.
The doctor said it’s either a liver or bone issue but he said my liver function was normal so likely bone. This was a phone appointment so struggled to hear exactly and understand what was being said.

Anyone help or have info on this? Should I ask for further tests? Could this be meno related or something separate?

He mentioned taking a Vitamin D supplement, I think.  Phone line wasn't great, it's so difficult to see a doc in person!

Day 262 of no periods, so not quite at the finish line yet!

U could ring and ask the receptionist to read out the suggestions if U are too far to pop into the surgery.  I hate it when they use mobiles to contact people!  I could write a book on that!!
