Wondering if anyone has had any problems after gallbladder removal ie: diarrhea? If so have you dealt with it naturally or via meds from GP?
My husband had his removed in 2013 and was fine for a couple of years, and without this it's now quite an issue. We have tried immodium, which helps a bit and now are trying psyllium husk but so far nothing deals with it completely. Diet makes no difference either. The excess bile is the cause as he's had his poop test at 60.

Could be bile acid malabsorption. Sounds like a visit to the GP is in order.

Get to the GP for advice as soon as possible. Is there a Continence Nurse at the Practice?
-
No, he's not incontinent.

I was thinking along the lines that he might be seen faster ;-) ?

Has he thought about trying some digestive enzymes?
He may need help to digest food properly rather than just bulking things up.

I think a call to the surgery via triage might be as quick, CLKD, hopefully ;)
I have read about the enzymes SG and I might try them as I expect the GP will want a sample (assuming that's how they test) so there may be a wait for results, thank you.

Agree with bile acid malabsorption , there are drugs you can have to help x
