				Hi All
I started combined HRT a couple of days ago & now seem to be suffering with a sore stomach & diarrhea.
Has anyone else suffered with this?
If so how long did the side effect last & were you able to take any medication or rehydration sachets?
I'm presuming this is a temporary side effect however any advice would be much appreciated.
Thank you

				Hi
I've been prescribed estraderm patches & ugestrone tablets.
I wasn't quite expecting to get side effects so quickly.
After day 1 I felt much calmer than usual then day 2 I was struck with an upset stomach.so didn't sleep very well & felt really wobbly the next day. Hoping it's a temporary thing.

So do I, is there anything in the leaflet in the box?  Perhaps ask a Pharmacist?

Upset stomach is listed as a possibility with the tablets.
I've just spoken to a GP & she thinks the upset stomach may just be a coincidence so hopefully it eases over the weekend.
I was just curious if anyone else had experienced anything similar.

Utrogestan contains soya which can upset some stomachs. Do you know if you have a sensitivity to soya? I wasn't able to use utrogestan because of this

Utrogestan caused me such bad indigestion pains I nearly went to A&E.
I tried it vaginally and it was better, less gastric disturbance (but still a bit), then I had local irritation using it vaginally.
There are other options, cyclogest is a pessary also used for HRT that is body identical.
If you feel ok mood-wise then I think you should perservere because they do say it's better symptom relief if you go for the separate oestrogen and progesterone.
I couldn't tolerate any of the progestins, my mood crashed into a brick wall every time, but noone would be sitting wondering if they had a reaction, unless they didn't have one. If you have a reaction you will know all about it and you will be motivated to avoid progestins in future. It's absolutely unmistakably horrible. So I stay safe on tibolone as my happy HRT, the others made me not want to live at all.
