Title: Side effects when changing regim
Post by: warwick01 on January 20, 2025, 10:07:06 AM
Good Morning

Week 3 of changing from oestrogel 3 pumps to Sandrena 1.5 and I honestly can't believe how the side effects are impacting so negatively. My sleep is disturbed, I wake in fight flight mode at 4.am. morning anxiety is in the roof. I feel nausea and loose stools. Really surprised just a change in gel can make such a difference.

Any advice please ladies ?? I am 66 and post meno. Oestrogel stopped working.

Tanks W x

Does your body still need replacement?

It sounds like you are under treated.

Have you had a blood test to check absorption?

Changing the type eg to patches or tablets might be worth considering.

Do you have a knowledgeable clinician treating you?

Thanks for your response 👍
The swats have reduced but this feels more like the change over from oestrogel to Sandrena. Wondering if Sandrena is stronger and I need a lower dose.
I will give it another week on Sandrena and see if things improve. Is such a nightmare trying to even our hormones out.

Yes, nausea can be an indication of too much oestrogen. Having said that it may settle, so you might want to wait a few days. Other option is to split your dose.
