Hi everyone,
This weather is sooo cold in the UK. My clothes are not suitable, I'm thinking of getting some thermal vests and leggings to wear under my tops and dungarees...
Any recommendations please? Xx

Zero Fit - made in Japan, dispatched from Ireland. Long sleeved winter/summer; hats, socks, gloves ..... all made from artificial materials but Oh So Warm! And wash/dry quickly. The summer wear has cooling properties which may also be something to consider. We found them via a fishing magazine.
Any walking shop will have plenty of choice. hellehenson for example. When buying socks make sure that they will fit your usual footwear, wellies may need to be half a size larger for example.
I have a cashmere throw for my shoulders which is where I lose a lot of my heat.

I work outdoors and I have found thermal tights to be life changing! I just got some from the Original Factory Shop, I don't even know the brand. They just look like thick tights and they are nice and cosy warm. I don't think you need fancy brands, just any old extra layers will help.
I also have some long-sleeved thermal T-shirts from M&S. They just look like regular T-shirts, not like your granny's thermals. They're about 10 years old and threadbare now, but they still keep me warm.
The downside of all these layers is it takes forever to go for a wee.
I also recommend two pairs of socks.

British Thermals if you thermals made in the UK

Layers.
Currently wearing vest t-shirt, long sleeved t-shirt and fleece jumper. I'm lovely and warm.
I also wear a body warmer jacket when outside.

It's important to be able to take off/put back on during flushing :-\ so layers are for many, essential
I'm wearing layers: a Summer vest under a zero fit base layer; over which is an acrylic/wool mix roll necked jumper: now this has been in/out the rag bag so many times in the last 22 years ;D, it's long so covers my bum and has long sleeves. Over this is a hand knitted Gillet-type garment which Mum knitted my sister in the 1970s. It is slightly fluffy so keeps shoulders warmer.
Jeans. Socks. Slippers. I have problems finding knee-length socks that aren't made for wellies >:(. Hat and gloves when out walking either wearing a Gor-tex rain coat or Winter wool coat.
Apparently silk is very warming but I don't like the feel ::)
