At what age were you into dry pants?
I remember the younger children being put on the potty B4 they were able to crawl: meant that they had to sit until 'done' ;D. It was cotton liners and nappies, none of these 'pampers' - they hadn't been designed yet. Also nappies are greener. ;)
Mum and aunt would carry the potty where ever the younger kids happened to be playing: if they didn't use it when they required every half hour she would pop them on until 'done'. One was in the car and another in the cycle wicker basket - kids travelled on the back then as Dad had the car.
Reading in the News that children are going into school not house trained beggars belief :o >:(. No wonder some parents think that they are 'hard up', if they are spending monies on Pampers etc.. Also do U think that teachers should be asked to clean up children, this may well lead to abuse accusations later down the line - which also takes teachers and assistants away from what they are being paid to do :-\

My daughter was almost trained by age 2 ,she would have the occasional accident but they HAD to be trained by nursery age or they simply wouldn't get in. Pampers were fantastic though, especially at night, very rarely had I bedding to wash

I can't imagine why any school would take children that aren't trained :-\

They deal with the occasional accident but it's definitely not a teachers job to be changing soiled kids.

Mum had a drawer of spare knickers on an 'in case' basis, they were 5-6 year olds. Head wouldn't have any child in School that wasn't clean.
I didn't walk until I was nearly 2, there are pictures of me on the pink potty sitting in the garden reading a comic in my birthday album :-[

Taken just last year? ;D

 :cheer:  U know me so well :D

Fairly sure our school wouldn't have taken children who weren't trained. Obviously accidents happen, but that's different to children who aren't trained at all. I wonder how much full time nurseries impact this? Is is easier for them to have all children in pampers?

Hi getting_old - how U doing? Good point! Why can't parents house train their children ........ :-\. Going out to work is no excuse.
