Is vaginal estrogen absorbed into the bloodstream?
Do you absorb more systemically if you place it higher or lower in the vagina?
Is more absorbed systemically when you first start using it when the vaginal walls are severely atrophied?

Hi
I found that i did for the first few months absorb systemically but i think that was because of how dry i was at the time as time has gone on it has lessened and my gyno has me on it every second day now if needed. At first i was putting it up high now i do just inside and the outer things have settled down nicely i wouldn't be with out it.

Thank you.

I tend to place vagifem higher one day then lower so everywhere gets a share. I use estriol cream for the outer bits too.
-
If it is absorbed it's for a short time - once the vaginal walls are well lubricated, some of the product will leak anyway once the vagina is healthier.
Some complain of headaches initially which go once the vagina is 'happy'.
I put 'estriol' high up .........
