Hi I started my first pack of Utogestan on day 15 of my cycle and started bleeding a couple of days later. I just finished the whole pack, 2 tabs at night, and made a note on my calendar for day 15 of this cycle. This has just alerted on my phone that it’s day 15 but I’ve only had 2 nights where I haven’t taken it! This can’t be right can it?! I’m confused.

The cycle is based on 28 days. You start taking it on day 15 until day 26 according to the patient info leaflet. I've never used it myself so not sure how many tablets are in the pack https://www.medicines.org.uk/emc/product/352/pil#gref I'm sure someone else will post soon who actually uses the product.

Hi make a note of the day you start the Utrogestan and take it for 12 days. Then stop. Then start it on the same date the next month.
Or take it for two weeks in and two weeks off.

It can be really difficult trying to fit in cyclical progesterone with a natural cycle.
Sometimes the combined pill can be a much better option for perimenopause as it can completely get rid of bleeding and hormonal fluctuations if taken continuously.
Or you could take your estrogen of choice alongside a suppressive progestin such as Slynd or desogestrel 150mcg.
A mirena IUS can also eliminate or greatly reduce bleeding.
If you are keen on cyclical MP, if you have a regular cycle, starting it 2 weeks before your next period is the aim, ideally stopping it to coincide with bleeding, assuming you have taken at least 12 days.
Or if your cycle is chaotic you could just take it from the 1st of each month for 14 days, regardless of if or when you bleed.
Others have had success taking it every day with a 3-7 day break when you get your period.

I found taking it 14 days on and off eventually I had to adjust it to resynch to my cycle. After about 8 cycles it seemed to sort out but you might find you bleed before you finish the 14 days. As long as you're getting enough progesterone each month it's ok to take it either daily 100mg or 12-14 days per months 200mg.
