Hello
New member here. I am 52 with mostly still regular periods but mood symptoms were becoming overwhelming so in the last month have started on 50 strength patches.
My question is it doesn’t seemed to have helped night sweats at all. Does that mean that HRT is unlikely to work for me or I need a different dose.
It would be great to know others experiences.

Hi. :welcomemm:
I don't know much about HRT - which symptom would you like to ease first? Which has been prescribed?
Some find that keeping a moo/food/symptom diary of use to chart progress.

Thank you so much for replying. My moods are my dominant symptoms but curious as to why the night sweats are still continuing. My understanding was that HRT should be better for symptoms such as night sweats than moods.

It's early days yet, sometimes the body has to uptake replacement. Is there any info in the box?

You could give it a bit longer but if it hasn't helped in another few weeks I'd look at increasing the dose or switching products.
You would also need to make sure your progestogen is sufficient to cover the increased dose.
When do you have a follow up?
In the meantime are there any obvious issues such as the patches not sticking well or coming off?
I could never keep a patch on for more than half a day without an adhesive surgical dressing over the top, and I can only imagine that being many times worse if you are sweating excessively.
The dressings I used (recommended by my consultant) were hypafix or softpore - available to buy online if that helps.

Thank you so much both for replying.
I will investigate and also give it a bit more time.
The patches seem to crinkle and have come off on occasion so I have wondered about the how the product is absorbing.
