I very occassionally get reddy brown debris in the toilet, what I can only describe as they look like the fish flakes you feed tropical fish. Now I understand its flakes of lining but what's confusing me is why they only appear when I go loo. Both myself and my husband are trying to figure out that piece lol. Apart from that I'm pleased to say all other symptoms have gone so fingers crossed

Remind me: R U using vaginal atrophy treatment?

If its coming from your bladder you should get it checked out.

Definitely not coming from bladder

After I made my comment and logged off I had a flash back to when I started to go through the menopause, the word peri-menopause didn't exist back then, and I remembered all that debris that came away when my periods started to diminish. So I guess its normal and part of it all.

Hi, is it on the tissue when you wipe after going to the loo? I have the same thing, which I described to my doctor and gynae as looking like 'silt'. I had the implant which has now been removed in the middle of this year and since starting HRT I have had a one period which has petered off to like what you describe above. I have been to the hospital today and the gynae there said she thinks it's the HRT that interfering with my periods (or what is left of them). I'm 51 and during the time I had the implant (I had 2 consecutively) I didn't really have what I would call periods as such. I have got to go for a scan at some point to get it checked.

Thanks Ayesha that put my mind at rest. Hopefully won't go on for too long. I agree perimenopause seems a new thing, it was just menopause to me

This has been going on since October, been gone for 4 days now but just had light pink when I wipe

You may well have developed a polyp, they are very common, perhaps the scan you mentioned you are due will set your mind at rest.
