Hi all, please advise. I was on Elleste Duet and changed a month ago to Elleste Conti. Also started mini pill for contraception. I changed as pmt was horrendous for 10/30 days.
My hot flushes and sweating have come back since changing.
Q) why? (Q) can I ask for additional product like estradiol gel?
Any suggestion to stop the sweating please. And I like to understand why it’s back. Thank you. Lisa x

HI! PMT was horrendous for me during my menstruating years. 10-14 days B4 a bleed started, symptoms went away once the period began.
How is your diet overall? I was advised by the National Association for Pre-menstrual Syndrome to eat every 3 hours, 24/7. To keep energy levels even.
Why did U change regime?
:welcomemm: browse round. Make notes.

The balance of hormones in Conti might not be as effective in managing your menopause symptoms as your previous regimen, especially since you’re also on the mini pill, which could further tweak your hormone levels.

It sounds like you are overloaded with progesterone and cancelling out any positive effects from the oestrogen.
Adding in the mini pill (progesterone only?) has made your regime unbalanced so definitely get your hands on some Oestrogel - you have a large margin for flexibility with that level of progesterone.
I'm assuming you are late 40s ish and at the beginning of the menopause so you will probably need a higher dose of oestrogen to combat symptoms. Endless sweating (I had it myself) needs a high of level of oestrogen to really shift it. At one point I was taking Angeliq and topping up with a 50mcg oestrogen patch but it didn't cut through. It took 3 pumps of Oestrogel to finally rid myself of debilitating sweats.
So definitely top up with Oestrogel and see if it shifts the dial on the sweats.
If it's any consolation, once you get to be as old as me (63) it's possible to stay symptom free on a maintenance dose of HRT.
