I've been wearing TWO combined patches for two days!
Tonight I could not sleep, skin itching all over, irritable despite being very well fed (the hunger, gnawing gut and heart skipping with it) ;D
I checked my calendar to see if it was time to change to estradiol, as I sleep better on that (yes progesterone helps with relaxation, but it's the estradiol that gives me refreshing sleep) but no, so I thought I'd change to a new combined anyway as perhaps the one I had wasn't stuck properly.
That's when I found I had two butt cheeks being treated. And which to remove ::)
Removed both and put on a fresh one. Not long now before pure estradiol again and better sleep but at least I'm sorted for now.

Oh man, that's hilarious, but also a bit of a nightmare, right? Two patches? No wonder your skin was going crazy! I get the whole "sleep better with estradiol" thing too. At least you got it sorted now! Hopefully, the new patch sticks better and you can get back to that solid sleep.
