Title: Vaginal estrogen/Vagifem

Apart from helping with va, what else does it help with?

(wondering if it will help strengthen connective tissues and pelvic floor muscles).

My 84 year old mother uses it to help with her bladder prolapse, to try to thicken and strengthen the vaginal wall. She was prescribed it by a gynaecologist for that purpose.

Thank you chopsuey. How often does she use it?

Twice a week, following the initial daily loading dose for two weeks. She uses the estriol cream, formerly Ovestin. She is unable to have surgery, so is using this to hopefully stop it getting worse, along with pelvic floor exercises. She's been on it around three years now and seems to be helping.
