Title: Mirena settling or too much oestrogen/too low
Post by: kittydaydream on November 27, 2024, 11:43:42 AM
Help please ladies! I had mirena re fitted 3 months ago following regretful removal in April and I still feel terrible! I’m peri and on 100 patch - I had the 1st mirena fitted over two years ago and can’t remember how long it took to settle! I’m waking super early feeling like I’ve not slept at all, anxiety 1st thing which mostly goes but sometimes lasts all day, the fatigue is unbelievable and I’m getting cold sores and crampy stomach.
Do I just need to wait this out or could the symptoms be too much or not enough oestrogen? I had thyroid and vits checked a few months ago and they were fine.
Thank you 🙏

I should have said the reason I went back to mirena is that I tried utro and a couple others and couldn’t tolerate them

I have two suggestions -

1. Get a blood test to check estradiol levels - if you are on a 100mcg patch and still symptomatic, absorption could be an issue.

2. Consider adding in testosterone. This can be extremely beneficial for energy and psychological symptoms.
