Hello, I am wondering how quickly Oestrogel works? I am very new to HRT, it was prescribed 5 days ago, started using it and am already feeling massive alleviation of allmost all symptoms! Is that even possible? This makes me very suspicious, as I read and was told that it takes time to see results. Anyone else with almost immediate relief?
-
If it has worked, don't know it!
Which symptom would you like to ease first? Sorry if U have another thread :-\

Hi, the brain fog, the horrendous fatigue and numbness/weakness of limbs. Since I am using the gel (just used it 4 times),I’m energetic and with clear mind. This is what makes me suspicious, is it possible to feel so much better in such a short period of time on Oestrogel?

I can certainly remember feeling a lot better after 1-2 weeks, in terms of hot flushes, sweats and aches and pains. They had all gone and I was sleeping better. The brain stuff took longer and for me needed some testosterone adding.

Thank you #chopsuey! Oestrogel really made a difference so far and I hope I’ll be able to go back to work soon. My symptoms appeared suddenly 4 weeks ago, and was assessed for a stroke (twice) by ambulance and A&E. It was a scary experience. I got lucky to be seen by a GP, who specialises in women’s health and pretty quickly figured out that I am perimeno. I’m still not 100%, but a lot better.
-
Well, hopefully that will continue! Being peri, obviously your own hormones will be fluctuating, so just be prepared for that to possibly affect things at times - HRT is not always straightforward, as many women on here will testify!
-
Yep, unfortunately I am aware of the hormonal fluctuations and that makes me worried and be suspicious of the seemingly fast effect. It is so helpful to read and receive advice from this wonderful community. Normalising helps so much, thank you #chopsuey

Hi Kamelia,
When i was on Oestrogel, I noticed improvement in most of my symptoms very quickly, by the next day or so. In the end, I found it was too strong for me and the side effects kicked in, but initially gave me great results and i felt like i had a spring in my step. So yes, I totally understand where you are coming from :)

Thank you perimeno, such useful information. My GP started me on 2 pumps of oestrogel and said maximum is 4, so now I’m logging my symptoms daily and will notice if symptoms return or increase.
