Has any of you had a metalic salty taste in your mouth it started 3 weeks ago when I picked up a virus and still lingering
-
It may be a lack of i.e. Zinc - my taste buds began to alter years ago: the 2 monring cuppas were fine, by mid afternoon they taste foul >:(. Probably 4 me, hormonal.
Do U have post nasal drip which can cause a strange taste?
-
Hi ckld ,the virus iv had seem to have caused a lot of mucus on my chest but that seems to have gone with the cough I had nothing like this before the virus iv even gone off things like chocolate x
-
OH NO! :o.
Have U found any foods that don't 'taste'? Our sense of smell determines what we taste so if there is a residue of the virus, this may be the causation. U could speak to a pharmacist for advice.

I get that salty metallic taste on and off even without a virus. I thought it related to dry mouth and post nasal drip. It comes and goes tho x

Hi penguin ,do you,its just a bit weired to me,but maybe its just the start of something else to add to my postmenopause problems x

Hello Daisy.
I had a metallic taste in my mouth in the early months of my first pregnancy. I honestly can't remember how long it lasted as my daughter is now thirty five. This didn't occur when I had my son three years later and I haven't had it during menopause however I firmly believe it can be a result of changing hormones.
I hope this helps in some way and wishing you well.
K.

Hi Kathleen, thank you for reply ,it does seem to be some kind of hormone symptom of some kind ,as ckld put it down to her metallic taste,it could be acid reflux that iv just looked up x daisie
