Title: Tracking irregular periods on HRT
Post by: word_witch on November 16, 2024, 10:30:51 PM
I’ve used the Clue app to track my cycle for years but in the past few months my periods have become very irregular. I’ve been on sequential HRT for over two years and always got my withdrawal bleed like clockwork but now I don’t bleed after stopping the progesterone, I only get a bit of spotting, and then have a heavier bleed as soon as I start taking it again.

I was told to keep taking the HRT regardless of what’s going on with my period/bleeding but it’s become hard to keep track of both the bleeding and what day I’m on for the HRT. Like right now I’m on Day 20 but started my period yesterday so it’s also kind of Day 2.

Anyone else had this and if so how did you keep track of it all if you use an app? Or am I going to have to keep track another way, using my calendar maybe. Thanks!

I know these menstrual trackers are really popular but my motto is why track it when you can hack it?

Periods have been completely optional for decades, and no matter what age or stage you are at, there are multiple really effective options for menstrual suppression, so nobody has to bleed unless they want to.

I have been on the combined pill continuously since I was 29 and don't bleed at all.

Life really is too short to put up with that, why not speak to your GP about solutions.

Thanks but that’s not something I’m interested in doing. Just trying to figure out the best way to track it.
