Title: HRT Confused
Post by: SFITZ on November 11, 2024, 02:06:02 PM
Hi I am currently on Gepretix twice a day for 12 days per month plus Estraderm MX 25 patches. Have been on these for 3 months now. I am still suffering with anxiety which kicks in for a few days on the days I am not taking the Gepretix. Just wondering if anyone else has had this and what the solution was? Thanks

:welcomemm:  how was the anxiety prior to beginning HRT, is this cyclic?  Which symptom did U want to ease?

How unbearable is the anxiety, 4 me I became housebound.

I didn't have any anxiety until the beginning of this year. I had a few months where I was completely sleep deprived due to pain/unrelated problems with my ears (balance/diziness). That has all been resolved but I have been left with anxiety, hot flushes and dryness hence the GP prescribing HRT. I haven't had a period for about 15 years due to taking Desogestrel but the anxiety does seem to occur at the same time each month. When i'm on the Gepretix i'm calm, happy and sleep well its' the days i'm not on it that seem to be a problem. I am taking Diazepam, Mirtazipine and Propanalol as well as the HRT but the only way I can sleep when not taking the Gepretix is with Dizaepam. I just wondered if there were tweaks that could be made to the HRT to help as I seem to be on a low dose? Or could taking the Gepretix every day at the lower does work?. I have a GP appointment to discuss and he's been very good but just want to be able to sleep at night without Diazepam!
