On a previous post I had asked if I possibly needed to reduce my dosage of 100mcg. I was getting joint pain urine infections constantly. I had been on this dose for many years and although not perfect I was better than now. I actually took the patch off for five hours ( very stupidly bow) When I have had high estrogen in the past my consultant advices me it is a quick way to get your level down. By the end of the day it was obvious this was definitely not needing to be reduced. That night I stuck the 100mcg back on. Fast forward two weeks and I am still suffering. My joints are aching I have VA which I have never had bother with. My skin is completely dry and I am an emotional wreck. Any ideas how long this will be before it settles? Before anyone says stupid move I learnt that lesson 😢

I suggest that you begin appropriate vaginal atrophy treatment ASAP!
Loss of oestrogen can cause muscles to become lax = aches and pains as well as the body may become dry: inside and out  >:(
No one is stupid.  We often need to try different regimes in order to find something that suits, though HRT isn't a cure in all cases.  Do U keep a mood/food/symptom diary to chart progress?
Which consultant?  Any knowledge of menopause symptoms ..........
I use vaseline lotion in the yellow bottle or nivea when my skin needs feeding.  VA in the form of 'estriol/ovestin' 3 times a week with KY jelly to keep the labia moist.  Let us know how you get on.  When VA symptoms niggle I swallow pain relief 3 times a day.

I was under a menopause specialist for ten years but got discharged during covid. I was plodding along fine until January when UTIs started and joint pain. I am gutted I reduced the dose as a whole host of symptoms are here now. I don’t know if the other symptoms are due to the fluctuations after removing the patch or if I need to go to 125mcg. I am now terrified to try anything. I don’t know how long it will fluctuate after me taking it off x

I haven’t needed anything like a mood diary. I often have issues with anxiety but the low mood has floored and scared me x
