Title: Thickened Utetus on Mirena HRT and bleeding

I'm 55 on Mirena Coil and Sandrena gel. I've been on it for approx 5 years. Last week had spotting ...continurd. Urgent ultrasound. I have a fibroid and adnemoysis (sp?) Plus a bulky uterus and lining is 7mm..now have a 2WW to check it's not anything sinister. Anxiety awful anyone else been through this?

Hi

I had the same last year. I made myself poorly with worry.
Outcome was that I had a naturally thick uterine lining and to add extra progesterone.
I’ve not had any problems since.

I’d say try and not worry but it’s easier said that done. I hope your appointment is soon.

Hi

I had a really heavy bleed last year had scan and biopsy. All was fine just thickened lining.

Im having a bleed again so ive just increased my progesterone.

I hope your appointment is soon x

How long have you had the current mirena in?  It should be changed after 4-5 years for HRT purposes.

I've had my new mirena since last Nov. Thanks for your replies everyone!
