:-\. advice is often given to members who are distressed or upset by their symptoms, i.e. Cedrus. Then they disappear ........... I do wish that women would let us know if we have helped or not.
All experiences shared etc..

I think most people come on these sites looking for help or an understanding of what's going on with their body. It would be good if these people came back to tell us that even in their darkest moments they got through it and there is light at end of menopause tunnel.

I have concluded that the majority of members who leave the forum is due to health anxiety (apart of course from those who get banned).
This forum is not for the faint hearted and if you are vulnerable when reading posts some will imagine that they will suffer the same.
I hate the once only posters, they ask their question, get answers then do a runner, never to be heard of again, then there are the members who are in a great deal of distress and they are the ones that I would love to hear how they are getting on.
I looked at Cedrus's thread, the answers given by members are extremely helpful and certainly not offensive.

I think some people just come to get information to help themselves, whilst others get caught up in stuff and forget to update. Also some may not like the "vibe", or not get the answers they want. Different personalities and things going on mean that not everyone stays around.

Funny as I much prefer commenting on someone’s post than starting my own, I think I feel happier identifying with the posters issue rather than out right asking advice, also there are so many threads to look through I’ve always found an answer to a query that way. However it is very frustrating when a post just stops without a conclusion of any sort, I also wonder how regularly people check the forum.
For my lovely meno health anxiety I find the forum brilliant just from knowing I’m not alone, but I think some people do just use it as a question and answer forum? The main thing is there are enough lovely ladies to respond when someone is in need :)

Hi all.
I think some people get the answers and stop coming here, expected more replies, only a few answered and are disappointed and go somewhere else. There are a lot of users and member here; some just use it for browsing, reading and not say anything.
As for me, I didn't expect so much info, helpful advice and it’s not all about health! I do my best to contribute, but have to be careful what to say, what not to say and if I get any reply. Maybe some women feel the same..
There are lovely people here and they do their best to comment, give advice or suggestions.
Thanks.
