I am on HRT and have been on and off it for years. No matter what dose I’m on or what type (patches, gel, tablets) I have this daily feeling of sickness (like morning sickness) but it’s mostly in the evening.
I had the same thing with the contraceptive pill years ago.
I honestly wouldn’t bother taking the HRT if it wasn’t for the fact that without it my joints ache, I get very dry everywhere, hot flushes and I just feel old (I’m 48).
Has anyone experienced this and found a solution, I’m at my wits end with it all.

Nausea is awful. I'm like that this evening after an egg sandwich earlier and baked beans this evening :-\ :'(
When did U last have a break?

Im only 5 weeks in but have this feeling mostly in the evening. I also had a terrible time with morning sickness, that lasted 5 months and was all day. I also couldn't take the pill due to sickness from it. I wonder if some of us are more sensitive to hormones. I know I am
Its such an awful feeling too

Yes I had awful morning sickness too!
I think I’m going to call it quits with the HRT. I can’t go around feeling this ill.
The GP’s are useless and just say persevere with it but I’ve done that and still feel the same.

Do you think it could the progesterone side of the Hrt?

I honestly don’t know which hormones making me feel bad but I’ve tried so many different ones and they are all the same.
I even agreed to have the Mirena coil as a last attempt as the GP said because the hormone is delivered locally I shouldn’t really get any symptoms. That didn’t happen, I felt just as sick on that as all the others I’ve tried!

Are you on conti? It might be worth trying a sequi regime to see if you're OK on oestrogen only. Bhrt might be an option if all else fails though with scans to make sure your lining isn't building up.

Yes I think I’ll try the sequi regime. It’s the one thing I haven’t tried yet.

Hi did you feel nauseous before you started HRT? Nausea was one of my worst menopause symptoms and cleared up when my oestrogen levels were right.
