Thanks for letting me join! :)
I'm a couple of years into perimenopause with quite a few symptoms, though fortunately most aren't too bad so hadn't gone down the HRT route thus far.
My main symptoms are stress incontinence when running, feeling like my bladder is never quite empty & digestive issues (including occasional binges).
The nurse at my GP practice did a quick review prior to booking me in to see the GP on Thursday 10th Oct to discuss my HRT options. She thought that separate estrogen and would be progesterone might be the way to go, but suggested I come on here for other's comments on what worked best for them with the stress incontinence.
The digestive problems include bad bloating & wind, which also seems to put more pressure on my bladder!
Any suggestions re the wind/bloating also gratefully received.
I did spot a comment from another newbie re burning tongue and someone sugested avoiding toothpaste with SLS so that's something I've noted for myself.
Thanks in advance!

Browse round. Make notes ;-) :welcomemm: U have an informed Nurse - hang onto her ;D
As oestrogen levels drop muscles may become lax so that mayB a reason for your stress incontinence. MayB self refer to a Physio with knowledge of womens' health who can advise on the correct exercises to do on a regular basis.
Some find that keeping a mood/food/symptom diary of use. We have a thread 'what we have diagnosed today' or similar ::) so U R not alone!

Thanks for your comment and suggestions CLKD :)
It's nice to have a safe place to discuss these things. And you're right, I'm lucky to have that nurse! Fingers crossed the GP is as helpful and supportive.

MayB take a list to discuss? I hand mine over and ask him to decide which to sort first ;D

Good idea - I'd made a start but will make a more concerted effort on that!
