Hi,
I was just wondering if anyone has any experience with this..but when I'm feeling under the weather... I find it hard to distinguish if it's actually a cold or perimenopause causing symptoms and if I can definitely tell I'm poorly it seems to flare up anxiety more...does a cold make things worse for abit??

I suffer with allergic rhinitis which presents with a lot of dry throats, sneezing ........ Covid was found to disrupt hormones :-\ though I don't think that the 'common' cold has the same research backing.
How do U feel overall. R these symptoms constant?

Maria just to say that I have a similar thing - particularly since Covid or the vaccine I never seem to get "proper" colds anymore - just a general feeling of "coming down with something", sore throat, runny nose... but it never develops into a full blown cold. I'm never quite sure if this is down to my hormones or fighting off a bug, as they cause very similar feelings - but in either case, it always passes after a few days so try not to worry too much :)

Thankyou for your replies...
I have had problems since getting a cat ::)...but obviously can't give him away as he's part of the family..but since I started citalopram my nose seems more congested...I have had full on flu and colds since having covid...
But I have read that feel poorly like this is yet another perimenopause symptom..this might be why it doesn't last for long maybe.. :)

Without knowing I am allergic to cat dander. We had 3 cats for nearly 20 years and I was snuffly ...... until they went, then my nose cleared. Peri can cause a narrowing of the nasal cavity and Eustacheon tubes.
