Is any1 aware of Conferences involving the above with GPs, Drug Reps., Practice Nurses, Obs/Gynae consultants etc. to educate from the ground up about peri/menopause? It is evident from MM Forum that messages are not getting through ........ our Surgery has no information in the Waiting Rooms about Menopause for example >:( and I've written via e-mail twice earlier this year to the Practice Manager asking why there is a gap: so far no response.
I need to be on a Mission :D. but don't have the energy :-\

Not aware of anything but long overdue - my GP advised I was done with menopause and didn't need to go on HRT as I was no longer having hot flushes! and she has been a GP for years and is in her late 50s ... ::)

Thick or stupid this GP? >:(

Uneducated. But many people are unaware of the symptoms until they get them (me included).

Which is why the BMS should be doing more ........... how about educating at teen level in school? How about encouraging GP surgeries to run evenings solely to educate their Staff, after all our Surgery seems to have one mid-week afternoon where patients can't see any1, due to staff 'training' :-\

SO: ............ I wonder why the BMS doesn't have a page on MM Forum to keep women up2date with how they are instructing the Medics etc. :-\
