Hi
I have been on Femoston conti for about 4 years. 2 years ago I had an episode of bleeding which felt like a period following a missed tablet. Was investigated with as TVS and all was fine with my lining.
Last week I felt hormone overloaded really painful breast and teary. I decided in my infinite wisdom to skip a dose and the following morning I was bleeding again just like a period. Panicking either I’ve messed up with not taking a tablet or I have something seriously wrong going on. Could missing a tablet have caused this as it’s such a coincidence for the bleeding to start straight after this when I haven’t had any problems for the last 2 years

Yes, skipped doses lead to bleeding.
This is not harmful whatsoever and doesn't require investigation.
It should soon settle once you get back on consistent treatment.

Don't panic. It's your body reacting to the missed dose.
