No same sex couples this year
Hopefully the Press will back off and let the Show run.
-
Well that went better than I thought that it might do, however too much forced laughter ::) but a few good jokes cracked.
Can't C how the blind chap will get on but he's with Diane [is she still with Joe?] :-\
-
Oh I missed it last night . I think Diane is still with Joe
-
I like to think that the relationship has endured 8)
-
I reckon the ex footballer will be first out.
It was lovely to see Amy Dowden back 💖
-
I hope so Songbird - I didn't take to him at all! :D
And am hoping that we won't have to endure that beginning every week, all those false smiles and fast movements >:(
-
Paper work at the ready
Feet up
Hopefully we won't have to put up with the dreadful advertising sequence each week! >:( :o. If I could use X I would be putting in an immediate complaint !!
DH is watching something else on his laptop already ;D
-
I thought the waltz that Chris McCausland danced was extraordinary 😲. He's been completely blind for the past 25 years!
I'm sure that Diane was told how to work with him to allow him to dance the steps safely but, geez, fair play to him.
As an experiment last night, I shut my eyes tight and tried to get from my armchair through to the kitchen - it didn't end well :o
Tell you what is getting on my nerves is the permanent loud chanting/cackling by the excitable celebs and their professional partners >:(
Mrs Meldrew signing off now
-
I'm with you on all your points -apart from walking around the house with eyes wide shut ;D - I thought that Craig's comments to Chris were totally out of order!
And don't get me started on the crowd oohing and aahing every time a dancer farts .... touches their toes! I'll be writing to the BBC about all that noise which seems to be triggered by someone off shot holding up a placard saying 'noise' >:(
-
It Takes 2 earlier - Nick Knowles has his arm in a sling :o after a breakdown on a Motorway or somewhere :-\
As usual, OTT programme :-X
-
Oh, I'd love to be in the audience at Strictly. How on earth do you get tickets? ???
I've been naughty again. Looked at Strictly Spoiler last night to see who went out! I can't help myself. I need help ;D ;D
-
PLEASE don't tell or I won't have anything to guess at ;D. There R a few men that I could get rid of this week :-X :P
-
I wouldn't dream of it CLKD ::)
-
PHEW :tulips2: :foryou:
I have my paper work ready to tick off who stays ;-) I simply have no idea for this evening. Hopefully not Chris and Dianne!
-
That was a nasty surprise >:(
-
I know. I had expected Toyah and the ex footballer to be in the bottom 2 but there you go!
Young Tom looked gutted didn't he? Pretty much your typical hugely competitive sportsman (not expecting to be booted out first)
-
I don't expect that Tom has a wide spread fan base like others on the Show might have.
I really expected Toyah to go. The footballer probably has millions who will vote for him ...........
-
I'm looking forward to seeing Wynne Evans tonight (movie week) - and he's channelling Mrs Doubtfire
-
Nick and Uba? are having a bye due to another injury :-\
-
Costumes - tick
Musicians - tick
All in all I think everyone in the main is improving. Usually I limit myself to 3 phone calls but tonight it was 4 and I could have gone on to 5/6. ;D
-
Wow, you are a super fan ;D.
If Mrs Doubtfire ever comes to the Theatre, cast Wynne - he looked very comfortable in his costume ;D
-
It certainly suited him, he can't dance - yet. ::)
Shame about Toyah - Neil, like Anton B4 him, doesn't have much luck!
-
Did any1 C the lack of interaction between Katya and Lynne on Sat when others were getting results? I found it awkward, apparently it's an 'in joke'. Something that should be stopped, promptly! Apparently the News and social media R full of what happened :-\. I found it 'oh that's not right'.
Otherwise the costumes were great again :ola: and this year celebs are growing slowly rather than 'straight in and at it'.
-
I'm inclined to think it is an "in joke" between K and W and shouldn't be over analysed. The trouble is, the problems with Giovanni and Grazianno last year have popped Strictly under the microscope this year. The tiniest thing is being picked up on. Geez, celebs will avoid joining the show in the future :(
Was surprised to see Shayne in the bottom 2. It's right that Nick went (I think 🤔)
-
Secrets ruin lives - from personal experience :'( so acting like children in front of a Millions-watching audience ? Also he is supposed to be 'heartbroken' ....... he knows nowt about being heartbroken!
Shame that Nick didn't get the opportunity to flourish. However, if his knee is badly injured then stopping is probably wiser than continuing, regardless of the Judges' decision.
Do u watch ItTakes2?
-
Katya and Lynne were on ittakes2 last night, she was not wearing much make up and tried to put a point over ::). Grow up the pair of them!
-
Wow! Wow! Wow - Jamie and Michelle: those costumes, the best EVER. Each couple are improving so I had J/M*; Chris/Dianne*; Tash/Alij; Shane/Nancy and Sam/Nikita*. Had to cut it down to 3 x * I know that Sam can do it and I have a 'thing' for Nikita ;D
-
Pity Tash’s hair wasn’t put in a tight bun it might have been better for the tango rather than a ponytail swinging about.
I thought some of the dresses last night were lovely I wonder what happens to them all afterwards recycled into another costume ?
-
I believe that some are recycled as material. All those sequins last night :o and apparently the costumes aren't revealed until Friday night :-\
-
Paul and Karen out. JB made a lot of mistakes.
Halloween next week: Trick and Treat went from Celtic origins across the Pond then the States sent it back ;D
-
At the end of each episode of Strictly, the dresses and costumes are returned to DSI, where they're kept for purchase and rental. The same rule applies after our DSI Elite Performers and sponsored dancers have worn one of our stunning creations.

Is there a new costume designer on Strictly?
Vicky Gill is the Wardrobe Lead for Strictly Come Dancing, amongst many other things!
Are strictly costumes reused?
Speaking in an interview with HELLO! Magazine, she explained how the costume team, which is headed up by BAFTA winning costume designer Vicky Gill, also reuse and recycle bits throughout the series. She revealed: 'The Strictly wardrobe department are magicians.30 Apr 2024

Thanks for finding that CLKD I’ve just looked DSI up.
Some lovely ballroom dresses last night but I did like the simplicity & colours of Nancy’s dress.
-
.... and there's me, not being able to thread a needle nor walk in those shoes: and that's those that the men wear ;D
-
oh YAWN - I think too much emphasis on the costumes and scenery ......... Voted 4 Sarah/Vito - if I could lift my legs I would love to dance the Argentine Tango ; Nikitta and his partner as I think she has more to learn; Chris and Dianne and 1 other couple that I can't remember :-\.
Now watching sad songs ....... does what it says on the tin like many other issues, dirges most of them. Wondering if they will show Sinead O Conner . [they didn't]
-
UUUMMMMM ...... I didn't know who to vote 4 last night :-\ . And am not impressed with the result this evening :'(.
-
Yep, I was surprised at the bottom two. I expected Pete and Jowita to be there 🤷♀️.
I'm getting a bit fed up with Strictly. I reckon they need to have a clear out of the judges and presenters :beat:
Never mind, "I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here" will be starting soon. Yay :hapij:
-
I do wish that they would allow Craig his opinions >:(
-
Amy - out of this year's Strictly :-\, Lauren to take over with JB.
-
A bit flat I thought, those that are good are, good; those improving are, improving. Costumes though FabULus and at least Craig got to put his Oar in!!
Who's to go this week? I'd like it to be Wynn or Pete :-\
-
I'm thinking it might be Pete and Jamie or Wynn in the bottom two.
I'm hoping Pete goes - something a bit fake about him, I think 🤔. I know it's all about the dancing but I just can't take to him.
-
Neither can I ....... and she irritates me!
I don't want 2 C Jamie leave yet.
-
I didn't notice Chris putting his hand over Dianne's eyes to signify darkness and the lights out section went by me :-\ it is however all over the morning media. :)
-
A much better Show tonight. Great costumes. Good improvement all round ....... not sure about the samba-thon though :-\
-
Again the costumes were lovely. A great evening of dancing. So sad :'( to see Jamie and Michelle leave though I didn't want JoJo and Montelle to leave either ::). Musicals week next ........... I'm not keen on the pro challenge :-\ but I suppose they have to fill evenings with something.
-
Yep, it was good. Can't believe that Pete's still in :o.
I don't like when they pick non traditional music for the dances >:(.
-
Musicals week - what was Shirley trying to be :-\ ???
I am voting for those I can watch for hours ...... so Tasha, JB and Chris/Dianne. Even Pete moved me although apparently he made a lot of mistakes. I feel that Montell/JoJo will go leaving Pete/Juvita 'in' :(
-
Agatha Trunchbull from the Matilda musical based on Roald Dahl book.
-
:D. that 1 went past me ;D
What did U think over all? :-\
-
Played by Emma Thompson in the film that we saw with grandchildren.
Me…I look forward to watching Sarah Hadland each week. She can dance , is throwing caution to the wind and enjoying herself. I hope she gains a lot because of being a contestant even if she doesn’t win.
-
It's not easy for me to vote now .......... :-\. I think that Chris and Dianne may well go out :'(. In the main good performances, especially from Dave Arch, his Band and Singers 8)
-
From a technical point of view the right person was eliminated. From a 'viewers favourite' point of view, I think the wrong person was sent home.
I read Strictly Spoiler every week but won't divulge and spoil it for others :)
-
PHEW! I do wonder how genuine the voting system actually is, 'in no particular order'. It would be better to let the public and couples know exactly where they stand in the viewing figures. Will I be disappointed - again :-\
-
YES :ola:
Now I will have even more difficulty voting ;D
-
6.00 p.m. :bouncing:
-
YES! I am in bits ;D. As I couldn't decide between the 3 and wanted Chris and Dianne to win ..... 4 me it is the right result. When Tasha's brother arrived unexpectedly ..... I think that next year 'kleenex' men sized boxes should be available!
And the costumes through out the series especially the bl/white Jamie and his partner wore [worry name has gone] :-\
-
Pass the tissues CLKD 😭
That was an emotional final. So glad Chris and Dianne won. So inspirational. To everyone.
-
Tnx for the Kleenex. I bet there wasn't a lot of sleep last night for any of them! They all upped their game. I don't think that it was the ' best ' Final ever, I remember last years being really good.
-
What's wrong with the Man! He had to apologise during the contest last year and now he's been suspended from his Radio Wales programme and apologised again for something the that happened on the Live Tour.
Has now stood down from the Live Shows.
