Hi all
Having a horrible day. Last night I couldn't sleep all night and took at sleeping pill at 5am as I was on a day off today and knew I could sleep in a bit.
I was asthmatic last night. I never get asthma these days. At one point I felt sick and then panicky but it was fleeting and I calmed myself down.
I've been sneezing a lot and I don't usually sneeze but I do have an underlying dust allergy. I've had itchy back of the throat and in the ears. Felt allergic but I've had other viruses that have started off feeling like this.
I have got a bit of a cough. I'm managing things today, I don't have asthma meds as they stopped them years ago. At the moment I don't need them and I am pretty sure I'll be ok and will know the signs should I have to call 111, I don't think it's going to be like that over the weekend. I think I can get this down but just wondering if anyone else has been feeling like this. I don't know, it helps my health anxiety if I know something is doing the rounds as then I know to just give it a bit of time.
Got that shivery feeling in the legs on and off, that's been covid in the past. But tests have been negative so far. Sorry, just health anxiety and it's made worse when I feel ill, it's scary because when I actually feel ill I'm least likely to go to the doctor. I definitely don't need to today, but last night I should probably have considered calling 111, but when I feel like that I am too panicky to do it. Must find a way to deal with that going forward. :-\

So sorry you're feeling like this. I don't have asthma but have noticed as usual nasal / throat symptoms coming with the sudden change in season. Perhaps it us that rather than being ill and your anxiety is feeding into it.
However, with a history of asthma, I don't think you should take chance of being able to accreditation 111 when needed (they were useless when my husband had cellulitis a month ago and fobbed him off with ibuprofen) so I do think you should be proactive, go to a walk in centre somewhere and get an inhaler to keep on standby.
Also have you tried taking an antihistamine?

How are you today Karashannon?

You could try an antihistamine for a day or two and see if the symptoms stop or at least lessen. A few years ago I thought I had a cold, took cold pills and didn't see any change. After the fourth day I decided to try antihistamines and felt much better within 24 hours.

thanks everyone
I'm ok, seem to be one day up one day down at the moment, so today I feel like I've got a temperature but the thermometer says no ;D I don't have hot flushes, it's not something I have and I know this is an 'ill' feeling. I was bitten a week ago. but I think the allergic reaction was before that.
I'm showering and using tea tree moisturiser in case there's something on me, but I can't see anything. Covid test is still negative. I do have cold sores on my face though and a cough, so no idea, allergy, virus, whatever.
I just panic when I'm not sure what's going on, especially as the other night I felt rough and couldn't breathe properly but that's eased off. I did also eat something with sulphites in, so that might have accounted for the asthma, it has in the past. Maybe it's just a few things all happening at once.
It's my mind I have to watch as well as if I get really poorly I won't call for help because of being in a panic, but I'm improving now.
I sound like a hypochondriac, oh well ;D

One other thing I'm on the combined patch and I put a new one on last night, I think the combined patch might be exacerbating things.
Maybe norehisterone is not good when allergic or have an infection, I'm changing to estradiol only on Thursday and perhaps that will help me fight off this. I've noticed that before, but only if unwell, not otherwise. The combined patch seems to make anything that's bringing me down worse, but is manageable if I'm ok.

the thing about anti histamines, I've always felt really off on them. I know there's much better ones these days. I will talk to the doctor tomorrow and get some advice, but I've had patches of feeling well so I might be getting through it myself. :)
Just wish I knew what it was! >:(

UPDATE:
I have covid. I've no idea if all that preamble was covid, including my state of mind. It feels calmer now the temperature is up and I've blown my nose a thousand times.
Now my only concern is this temperature, which is not bothering me, but is it supposed to stay high for two days? Maybe it goes on longer? Can anyone tell me.
I strangely feel a bit stronger with it though.

Did U use a test kit? Get plenty of of fluids down you, Paracetamol and rest.
A few weeks ago DH had the shivers but his test was negative - it was a reaction to stopping the anti-virals prescribed for shingles.

Hi CLKD
Yes I got a test in the hope it was covid as too many symptoms, I've been rough one way or another all september.
I expected it to be negative, was surprised when it was positive. Last night after posting here I had the chills really badly, to the point that I felt lousy. Then suddenly I went so hot it was like I was on fire. It lasted just 2 mins thankfully and I've felt so much calmer since then. Still got a low grade fever, but the underlying agitation physical and mental seems to have calmed down.

Of course that could be the estradiol patch ::) ;D
Maybe I'm not supposed to get covid on the combined patch as I'm much less healthy on that than neat estradiol ;D

MayB test again tomorrow?

MayB test again tomorrow?
I did, was still the same.
I'll do it again today, but hate the lack of energy. I have that anyway, so this has took even more. I know, just give it time.
Feeling like a total failure as I'm disorganised, house is a mess. I'm doing the basics like bin emptying, getting showered, windows opening, but that's it. Still the sun is shining and the air is moving, it's a lovely day :)

It's still positive, that's a week.
I'd like to say that little red line is more faint, but, maybe it is just slightly, not enough for my liking lol
