Did anyone have more discomfort on the right side of their abdomen when recovering from a hysterectomy?
-
You post seems to have been missed and hopefully someone will answer today?
If you are worried, then hopefully you have a number you can call for someone to advise, or consult your specialists who carried out the operation? Did you have a detailed leaflet outlining how you may feel afterwards?
Wishing you well in your recovery.

I don't recall that particularly. Are you going to the loo ok, not constipated? It's just generally very uncomfortable the first couple of weeks. Did you have abdominal surgery? Get as much rest as you can. Very very important particularly those first few weeks. Obviously don't lift anything or strain. It's frustrating but it will pay dividends if you take care of yourself during this healing process.

Hi Gnatty, Thank you for your reply. It's because I'm a bit constipated I think, I'm eating fruit and generally having a healthy diet. I'm feeling stressed so that's probably the cause. I'm able to move around a lot better the last couple of days. I'm staying with my daughter which is allowing me the bed rest I need, I'm being as careful as I can. It's day 9 after the op now. I've had a tiny spotting which I assume is normal?

Very normal indeed x
