After talking to my GP today he has prescribed Oestrogen Gel
I usually have pessaries but have just had a prolapse repair so cannot use them My surgery was 6 weeks ago but the practice wouldn’t speak to me till today as they said it wasn’t an important issue
I’ve never used it before and it’s being given for pelvic floor health and control of VA I have a phone consultation in another 6 weeks with the surgeons team
Does anyone know if the gel works in the same way as patches or tablets and is it effective for VA

Hopefully someone will respond soon. 🤞🏼

Hi gel, patches and tablets all contain oestrogen so they should all work in the same way. Transdermal is thought to be “safer”. However, it’s really a personal choice as to which suits you best.
All of them can help VA but some ladies may also need vaginal oetsrogen treatment as well.
