Title: Rosacea

Does anyone recommend a good cream for this please? I’ve had red blotchy skin on my face for about a year. They’re like tiny dots but won’t go away and I’ve seen dozens of creams but have no idea what works. Anyone tried any?

Have you had a diagnosis of rosacea from a medic? It's normally treated by a prescription product as far as I know.

I have rosacea. You would benefit from a referral to a dermatologist before the skin becomes too bad. Have you had a proper diagnosis by your GP? As Joaniepat says you will need a prescription product. You are usually given a topical cream to try and if this doesn't work then an antibiotic for a few months. After a few years of this I managed to obtain a cream called Ivermectin (Soolantra) which works well for most of the time. I had to get this via a private appointment with a dermatologist as I found the NHS very dismissive. My skin has been damaged though so my face is covered in tiny broken veins. Mine began after having to take a PPI for reflux (hiatus hernia).

Hello ladies.

I don't have any experience of this condition but a study published in March this year found that low-dose isotretinoin was an effective treatment for rosacea.

I have Rosacea, have done for many years and got referred to dermatolgy who prescribed Soolantra ( Ivermectin) which cleared it up so well. I just use it for flare ups now. The dermatologist also recommended Clinique anti redness range and I started using their moisturiser( green pot) which is excellant, a bit expensive but you can get it a cheaper if you shop around.
