Title: Patch placement and bleeding
Post by: Sphynx on August 22, 2024, 02:58:42 PM
I had 2 bleeds in July that I attributed to covid (which I posted about on here), as before my periods stopped, it would always cause bleeding or spotting and a change in my cycle.
I was urgently referred for a TVS which I had Sunday. All OK, just one tiny fibroid right at the back of my uterus which was of no concern.
The bleeding had stopped anyway….
While thinking about this bleed, it did also come after I changed my patch position. I’d read that people fair better when it’s on the bum or thigh, so I thoughts I’d change for ‘optimal’ release. I used 3 patches while bleeding occurred. I assumed I was getting “more’ product so the bleed would settle.
However, after a week, I was feeling very anxious, and I had palpitations and according to my adult kids, I was being very serious and moody and miserable. So I switched back to my usual placement, on my abdomen, right above the crease of my leg. I immediately felt better, and many patches later, still no bleed.

If you’re still reading lol, has anyone else found similar happened? And what is your optimal patch position?

I have been putting patch on my hip but sometimes loose it when putting on tighter jeans /bottoms. Think I’ve been ok with it here 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️
