Title: Are these side effects of eostrogel?
Post by: Helen57 on August 14, 2024, 04:32:27 PM
Hi. I started my HRT journey on Sunday. I started with 2 pumps of gel on the evening, felt fine. Then Monday I put 1 pump in the morning and 1 pump evening, same on Tuesday, I felt okay and anxiety had lifted a little. Today I tried applying the 2 pumps in the morning, just to make it a little easier being once a day. I started to feel a little more anxious, I got a bad headache and feel very wooly headed. It feels like I'm walking on sponge. Very strange feeling. I'm wondering if it's the eostrogel? Is it common to get side effects from it?
I'm a couple of days past my own period, so I'm wondering if maybe 2 pumps is too much as my own eostrogen could be rising? I might go back to 1 in morning and 1 at night to see if that's better again.
Any advice would be very welcome. Thank you 😊

It can feel a bit weird whilst your body adjusts to the estrogen. It will usually go away after a week or so.

It's totally up to you whether to do 2 pumps in the AM or 1 AM and 1 PM. It would be the same daily dose.
