Title: Hrt
Post by: Wenj27 on August 14, 2024, 10:18:55 AM
Hi i have written before i had spotting 6 weeks after starting hrt combined i am nearly 4 months on it. I was sent for scan and uterus line showed 8mm.  However could this change if spotting stops could it go back to normal. I go for biopsy on Monday. Just wondered if this means anything as had no symptoms till i went on hrt. Thankyou

Absolutely it can thin down if you increase your progestogen.

This is a common side effect of hormone therapy and not a cause for concern, however it is good to get it checked out.

Spotting in the first few months often stops by itself however since you know your lining reached 8mm on your current regime, this suggests your progestogen is not adequate and increasing  the progestogen is a good idea as you really want your lining to be less than 5mm on continuous combined hormone therapy.

Hopefully its that thats caused the lining thickening and the hosppital will sort it x
