hi all, I'm new to HRT and here so forgive me if this is the wrong place to post this Q...
I am 10 days into HRT (75micrograms Oestrogel + 100mg Ustrogen pill continuous) and am feeling sooooo tired and heavy all the time. It wouldn't be so bad but I need to drive for my job. Last week I felt I really shouldn't be driving at all, I felt so woozy but it just suddenly hit me around lunchtime and I had no choice.
I've read that I need to give it time and I realise it's very early days...I'm wondering if anyone has taken Magnesium Glycinate to counteract the tiredness. Is there such a thing that could? (I'm guessing if there was it would be well known by now, so probs a daft question!)
MTIA :)

Magnesium glycinate is good for anxiety and best taken at night as it can aid sleep , stress depletes magnesium, and its know to help menopause symptoms.

I agree,it is to help aid with sleep too. The hrt you are on can make you very tired,so maybe you may have to change it.....oh and welcome to the forum :)

Mag glycinate is definitely better in the evening and for sleep. If you wanted it to be for daytime and tiredness you could look at mag malate which is energising (don't take in the evening tho) or l-threonate which is the one usually used for brain function / cognition. A nice one is called Neuro Mag.

I couldn't take progesterone every day, I tried at the beginning but it made me just like you, I hit a car in Tesco one day while i was parking and thought I'm not safe on this!

I have just purchased some magnesium glicinate and just wondering when to take it.
Currently I take in the morning
3 pumps oestrogel
2000iu vit d
Omega 3 capsule
At night I take my 2 capsules utrogestan orally.
I've been told that magnesium is best at night but does it have to be separate time to utrogestan? If so what timings would you suggest?

It says in the utrogestan patient info leaflet that it may cause sleepiness and dizziness in some people and if affected you shouldn't drive. It may be that you will need to change the progesterone part of your hrt especially as you drive for your job.
