Title: Mirena removal delayed symptoms
Post by: kittydaydream on July 22, 2024, 10:17:57 AM
Hi all, I’m really struggling, chronic fatigue, upset stomach and anxiety! Started mild when I had mirena removed in April and steadily worsening up til now- I’m wondering have any other ladies experienced this?

I started taking Utrogestan 100 after mirena and have been on estraderm 100 for a while, I also started testogel 5 months ago. Any advice would be greatly appreciated 🙏

Sequi or conti? It could be the utrogestan. I'd try a couple of weeks off it and see if you feel any different. Using it vaginally should avoid digestive upsets.

I was on the Mirena for 5 years, it kept my meno symptoms away very well. Anxiety and severe depression were my latest symptoms in peri 5 years ago (never had them in my life before the late stage of peri). I am post meno now, a couple of weeks ago the Mirena was removed. I am not on HRT currently. On second night after Mirena was removed, I woke up in the middle of the night with symptoms, which I didn’t have for 5 years! Heart palpitations, not enough air to breathe and sudden anxiety. They were stopped with a small dose of progesterone. After that I had the same episode of symptoms one day during afternoon, which was easily managed with the same small dose of progesterone.

Sorry I can’t help you with advice on HRT. It didn’t work for me personally, made all things worse, so had to come out of it. My symptoms currently are easily manageable with low doses of over the counter hormonal products.

I use Wellsprings.

Thanks Angela. Interesting to hear you use Wellsprings. I bought some and yet to use as no one on here could tell me any experience of it and online research views were not favourable although on the Wellsprings website the reviews are all 5 star....made me a bit suspicious  ;D
I don't want to highjack this thread so I may message you if that's OK? I'm not too well currently with my M.E and typing is difficult so I will leave it just for now but maybe ask you at some point. Thank you so much xxx
