Title: Slowing of hair growth
Post by: CLKD on July 22, 2024, 09:04:11 AM
I see to be removing less hairs from chin and upper lip, the latter was on my mind throughout my teens because it was very dark and lush  :( :-X.  In recent years I've not had to shave under my arms ........ mayB I need to give my legs a good grooming then sit back and wait ........

One of the good things of getting older, less bodily hair. I don't have to bikini wax anymore and ny armpits and legs rarely see the razor, usually holiday time. Downside, the hair on my head is a lot thinner. I used to have very thick hair that needed layering and thinning but not so much now.

I wish!! The hair on my head is thin but grows so fast I should have my own chair at the hairdressers! I really wish it would slow down.

Yeah, I’ve also experienced slow hair growth on my scalp, and sadly, the volume has decreased from what it was when I was a teen. But it’s true that caring for your hair and trimming it can increase growth. Every time I pamper my hair, there’s always a positive result in growth, but not in volume, lol! two products shows great result, one is rosemary essential oil and second is castor oil, These two truly give results.

OH caster oil  :-X  :sick02:  as school kids in the 1950s/60s we were lined up for a spoonful of that [for the bowels] as well as rose hip syrup .......... even my cats wouldn't go near it  ;D

I change my shampoo often using a conditioner instead occasionally.

Lol! But I do oil massages 3 hours before a head bath. Trust me, it’s so important for hair growth. My hair is long, but I want a remedy for increasing hair volume. I’ve also started avoiding conditioners since they contain chemicals, and my hair falls out more while rinsing. I'm trying to find chemical-free, organic conditioners, but sadly, I haven't found any yet. Instead, I use serums that are helpful.

Everything in adveets seem to have 'serums' in : Serum (/ˈsɪərəm/) is the fluid and solvent component of blood which does not play a role in clotting. It may be defined as blood plasma without the clotting factors, or as blood with all cells and clotting factors removed.

Why not wash without any product at all?  If hair isn't dirty then a rinse in warm water should be enough?  After which, wrap hair in warming towel for 20 mins. which is what I did when I had hair almost to my waist.  Dried in 20 mins. and finished off in front of the coal fire [Winter] and in the garden [Spring/Summer].

A rinse in white vinegar doesn't live the hair smelling like a chip shop  ;). I tried head&shoulders years ago which gave me dandruff  >:( and we have changed to baby shampoo recently.

I must be the original Hairy Mary
Now 66 and no reduction in growth at all
It’s all changed in texture my wavy curly hair and transformed into a wild wiry mess which having been an asset is now a nightmare and about to be cut short short short And don’t even get me started on my newly acquired beard!!! have tried everything to get rid of it Electrolysis Waxing Shaving Plucking nothing works
Mother Nature is cruel seems to me when your no longer fertile she gives you mad hair and a beard to make you as unattractive as possible
Maybe Mother Nature is actually a man !!

Have you tried lasering ? I went years ago for upper lip which worked well for some time & less around now after several years.
You do have to let hair grow a bit so there is something to laser.

That's a good idea - poured over ice, glass rimmed with sugar, a little cream on an incase basis?
