Hi, it's been several years since I posted. My doctor (Women's Hub) has prescribed estriol pessaries and also the cream for exterior use for atrophy. Things got extremely painful a few weeks ago. The leaflet with the cream says use vaginally but she definitely said use this externally and the pessary obviously internally. Her guidance says apply to vulva area. I think the area needs to heal. Has anyone else used the cream this way?
I previously was on HRT for 5 years until the GP stopped this when I was 60. A few weeks later I was diagnosed with DCIS and had a lumpectomy and radiotherapy. I am now 5 years clear of breast cancer and was using Replense and also tried Yes cream when Replense stopped helping. My night sweats and hot flushes are improving a little so I didn't want to risk the oral HRT.
If anyone has a similar experience I would love to hear from you. Thank you!

Yep. Using VA treatment internally with a smear around the labia/vulval area works for many of us. I find KY Jelly helps too. My regime is 'ovestin' inside with a smear where it is dry on the outer area when necessary.
It is a small amount so should not impact on any other health issues. Quality of Life ;-)
