Hi. New member with a question I'm struggling to find answer in forum.
I'm 55 and on 3rd Mirena. Latest coil replaced 12months late in my opinion. I was told by Women's Health Dept I would no longer need it - but then for 12months had horrendous hip joint pain ( to the extent I thought I needed a replacement hip) , sit bone pains like tendons being pulled & general brain fog/forgetfulness/insomnia/internal vibrations.
Eventually GP referred for replacement Mirena and prescribed Oestrogen 2pumps. Within 2 weeks brain fog and most symptoms cleared but pains got worse. Advised 3pumps daily and even more severe - so without consultation reduced to 1pump and now pains nearly gone after just 4days.
Anyone else found the gel increases the pains and its too much ?
I'm wondering now whether I just needed the Mirena replacing ?
Thanks

Hi! :welcomemm: It can be Trial and Error so experimenting is the way to go. 3 pumps is a HUGE starting amount.
Those types of pains are often associated with low oestrogen levels so you mayB OK on the 1 for now. You could stop for 7-10 days 2 C whether there is any difference in symptoms.

Hi.
Update to post.
Pains virtually gone but insomnia and overnight vibrations back.
Thinking of an additional 1/2 pump before bed to see if small top up needed.
Anyone else do that too ?
Thanks

Some do. MayB put the product name into the search box to read how others cope, make notes ;-)
