Hi Iam just about to start utrogestan 200mg pessaries, I have never used these before, any advice? Any side effects I should be aware of? When taking it orally womb lining was getting to thick . Have just started back hrt as night /day sweats have been awful.

Hi, I have found it to be a bit irritating to the tissues it's in contact with. I'm planning on discussing alternatives with the GP or maybe changong my vaginal atrophy treatment as I think that is making me be more easily irritated by it.
On the plus, I had a period after the second 2 weeks of taking it whereas I'd not had one for 9 months previously. I can't say for sure that's due to the vaginal route as I'd changed oestrogen too.
It's also better for my mood vaginally than orally.
I hope it suits you well and stops the thickening. Best wishes.
