Title: Women age twice as fast due to a lack of estrogen?

This is a Spanish article from last year that has been translated but I thought it was interesting:

Not what most women want to hear I suspect but interesting stuff nonetheless.

How often do you look at an older couple and the lady really has a lot of miles on the clock whilst the man is relatively unlined and even still handsome!

I know women tend to bear the brunt of all the child rearing, domestic chores and elderly care often in addition to working outside the home as well, but loss of sex steroids obviously has a major impact.

Yes hormones. Men seem to just have a steady flow of them whereas we have a monthly cycle, pregnancy and/or take hormones to control pregnancy/peri/menopause plus all the additional stresses caring roles bring.
