Hi,
I've just rejected a prescription for 3 months HRT at my GPs because they'd only given me 1 month of Evorel patches (?!) but 3 months of a different brand of micronised progesterone. I've always had the packet with Utrogestan in blue on it from Besins but they gave me Gepretix from Exeltis instead.
I'm very nervous about changing brands - has anyone had any experience of this, positive or negative? I may have to have Gepretix if they can't get me any of the blue label stuff.
Thanks,
Caroline

I understand it is the same.

I was given Gepretix but it gave me awful nightmares.

If you have a reaction, immediately make an appointment with your GP and ask for the Brand you require to be put on repeat if the other does not work for you. Sometimes the added ingredients / composition differs and some can prefer one or the other.

I was on utrogestan.
I also got gepretix, I used a box of that, erm...a month or several ago, sorry for the vagueness.
I had negative dreams, not sure it's the gepretix.
My GP texted me to say that they will be issuing gepretix permanently for women on utro from now on.
As far as I understand, it is the same - 100mg micronised progesterone.
In my limited knowledge on the matter, I cannot see how it would be any different to utrogestan.
