Title: No period for 3.5 months and now its coming.
Post by: Mummytron on May 24, 2024, 07:34:25 PM
Hi,
As it says, I've not had a period for 3.5 months and now I've got some brown spotting like it's coming I think. But my god I feel rubbish, haven't had this while not having periods.
Internal shaking, sore breasts, low mood, anxiety, aching.
I've been in period about 8 years so I'm hoping I am near having no periods.
Not sure that I'm asking for anything just a whinge 😂

U whinge.  We are good at that!

My periods waxed and waned for several years.  Regular then missing for months, then back; fortunately the dreadful excruciating pains had gone.  At the end of all my periods I would have a brown staining/show which was normal for me and I knew it was The Change.  Then they went but I didn't notice for ages.  I didn't stop carrying protection for 5 years  ::)

Keep hydrated.  Eat little and often.

How R U feeling this morning?

For 10+ years after my last bleed I would have pre-menstrual symptoms and think "OH! not after all this time!" but nowt showed  ::).  We are all different but seem to have similar symptoms and concerns.  Let us know how you get on.

Hiya,
3 days on and I have a period, not heavy but a definite one. Today I feel awful, headache, nausea and lightheaded.
Really anxious too. Cried a bit as well.
Assuming this is all because of my period and quite honestly it can do one.

The night B4 a bleed began I would sob: even if a period wasn't due!

Your symptoms sound difficult, hopefully 2morrow U will feel differently.  Is the anxiety worse at any particular time of day?

I guess its worse in the evening and at night but thats quite common for me.
It just feels like its hit me hard physically and when you don't have it as often you forget how bad it can be.
I'm not really poorly but enough to make me feel useless!
Thank you for asking.

Put those feet up Girl and rest.  Listen to your body ;-)

What ever awful condition I've suffered over the years, it always amazes me how ill each can make me feel - when better I can't replicate the physicality of them.  Eating every 3 hours has helped over the years, 24/7.

My anxiety is worse from 3.30 a.m. until mid-evening when it's bad.

Interesting what you say about eating every 3 hours, I've done nothing but eat today! Constantly hungry.
Thank you so much, feeling very sorry for myself tonight, just all very frustrating. I've had a lazy day today so hoping for a better day tomorrow xx

Morning.  It's OK to eat when the body is bleeding, it does depend on what we grab though.  The night B4 a bleed I would be very thirsty, grabbing water from the tap [not like me at all] or eating celery sticks which were kept in the fridge in a glass of water.
