Hello ladies.
Looking for advice again please. I had my blood pressure checked at GP surgery today and it was 148 which is high I think. I'm terrified they are going to stop my HRT. Could they just give me blood pressure tablets and let me still take my HRT? I'm in a panick now. Thanks for your help.

Hiya, I am on bp meds and HRT patches. All good. Don't panic. My bp was 160/80 before. All regulated now x

Thanks so much for your reply LadyTiggy.
GP is nervous about giving me HRT and some of them are misinformed. Glad you've got your BP regulated now. Thanks again :)

High blood pressure is a contra indication for hrt but as long as it's controlled it's fine. It's possible they'll want you stop whilst they sort out the BP but long term it should bs fine.

My understanding is if the HRT is transdermal they have less concerns. I have HRT and am on low dose beta blockers for moderate blood pressure. It's never been raised as an issue by GP or gynaes.
