Hi
I joined a couple of years ago when I initially began my menopause journey. I was out on oestrogen gel and progesterone tablets. All went fine then my mum was diagnosed with breast cancer and my health anxiety kicked in and I came off. I actually did really well (aged 56) and thought that was me finished. My last period was about aged 54. I’m now 57 and for the last 5 months I’ve been having sudden surges of body heat ,no sweats, which last a few minutes. They leave me feeling tired, cold and shaky and nauseous. This nausea can last a few days and is then often triggered by food. General blood tests are all fine . GP thinks it’s all linked to anxiety which also increased around the time this all started. But chicken and the egg…..I have had a long term issue with anxiety but this nausea does not feel like the stomach churning kind that often comes with that. It’s more low level, like a travel sickness….
Several people have suggested it may be linked to menopause. Based on my above info what are thoughts? Can symptoms appear a few years after menopause?

I'm sorry I can't help on the age side of it and post meno.
But here in peri I get horrific motion sickness and nausea. For me it's caused by too much estrogen. But that obviously can't be your issue.
I was speaking to another member the other day and she was getting nausea post meno from low estrogen.
I think it can definitely be hormonal. X

Nausea was one of my worst menopausal symptoms.

Did you find anything to help it?

If it's silent reflux making you nauseous , omeprazole will help, otherwise, try stugeron, travel sickness tablet

That was my suggestion: Kwells, anti-travel sickness tablets which I believe 1 sucks.
