Title: Peri or meno - which was worse for you?
Post by: CrispyChick on April 18, 2024, 02:18:36 PM
As the title says.

I'm having a horrific peri. Absolutely horrific. Cant take HRT as it's the estrogen fluctuations causing my problems.

So...just curious where it goes ...

I would say peri, I mean I still get HA but when I was peri,my anxiety was through the roof plus depression, something I had never had before,no hrt for me either so just kinda got through it all,not so bad now but still anxiety on and off.
Have you tried any alternative treatments?

Peri (I think). Definitely easier to manage without the fluctuations but now I'm getting some va symptoms and I really don't want to be stuffing stuff 'up there' for the rest of my life  :(. I think the one bright spot for your situation is that without your own fluctuations you will probably find you can settle on a dose that's right for your body. Not sure how long fluctuations last for after bleeding stops though, I'm still getting them.

Both.
Meno was eventually relieved with hrt.
Then I had to have a hysterectomy with no HRT. Hell doesn’t come close.  :-\
