Hi All
Does anyone have any advice how to help breast pain.
I have been on HRT patch now for 5mths 50mg but occasionally I get bad breast pain. It is in both breast but worst in my left which goes in to my arm pit.
I don’t have periods as had a hysterectomy keeping my ovaries so I can’t work out if it’s a cycle.
I try and track it and it does look like it falls round what would be a cycle but then some months comes out of no where.
I just don’t know how to sooth it so thought would see if anyone else has similar experiences.
Thanks

Does pain relief help?

Hello. Ive always had pain in the run up to my period and now from progesterone, in the arm pit too. Evening primrose or starflower oil might help.

Thank you for the reply I will try it

I had this so bad after two months of HRT I almost stopped taking it! It was unbearable! So far it has gone away after a couple of weeks so not sure if it will return! I bought some soft crop top type bras to wear in bed. I can’t offer any other advice except to say I feel your pain - literally!

Hi, Yes I had this at the start of Peri-meno, and it has returned again recently.
Industrial bras definitely help & ditto to wearing a soft one to support at night.
It's one of the horrible ones as it's so anxiety provoking. After my first bout of this, once it was all checked out, I got into a better routine of checking my breasts every month, & that helps dial down the inevitable anxiety :(

For me when I started HRT and increased my dose swollen/painful breasts were a sign of high oestrogen. I reduced my dose of gel and it went away.
When I went for a mammogram a few years ago (pre HRT) the nurse recommended Evening Primrose and I have taken it ever since.

I too say evening primrose oil.
My mum suffered with painful breasts and her gp recommended this.
