Title: Mirena and oestrogen component
Post by: shrosphirelass on March 05, 2024, 11:33:44 AM
I am having a mirena fitted to hopefully control bleeding in April. The dr has said I can continue with evorel conti.

I am concerned about this. I don't want a double dose of progesterone and I thought one of the advantages of the mirena was I could change dosage of oestrogen.

My symptoms; bad headaches, dizziness and bloating have really  ramped up recently so I wanted to try something different.

Any one got any suggestions?

I would have expected them to change you to an oestrogen only patch. The mirena already provides enough progestin for womb protection so there's no reason to add any more.
